New attendees, registered after the 7th of May can submit an abstract following the instructions and guidelines below. Acceptance will be shortly communicated.

All candidates with accepted abstracts must register immediately for the congress, completing the process of registration with the corresponding payment. Students must send copy of their student ID together with their payment information.

Only works accepted up to the 20th of May will be listed in the congress abstracts book.

Please read carefully the instructions below and use the given template.


An online submission system will be available for XII Europa Congress attendees. Submitters will be requested to create an account and submit the abstract according to the given instructions.


Maximum of 2 abstracts per presenting author.

At least one of the authors must register as XII Eupa Congress attendee; the presenting author must always be registered. No abstract will be listed as part of the congress programme or book unless at least one of the authors (presenting author) is formally registered as attendee.


All abstracts for both oral and poster presentations should be prepared according to the instructions and submitted through the abstracts platform.

An abstract in English, limited to 300 words, is required in all cases. The abstract should contain a concise but comprehensive statement of the investigation and results. The title and the abstract will be freely available on the congress website and should be considered an advertisement for the paper as it may be all that most viewers will read. Thus, it should be carefully and accurately written. Your abstract will be sorted and arranged to organize the program by the theme you proposed in the abstract submission.

Oral submissions:

  • All oral speakers must submit an abstract.
  • The Programme Committee may at its discretion move an accepted submission into another presentation category to ensure the continuity of the congress programme.
  • Presentation should be created in Power Point and saved as Power Point or as a PDF. Specific details will be sent to accepted abstract submitters

Poster submissions:

  • Poster presenters will be expected to be available during the allocated poster session time on the congress programme.
  • The poster should be of a maximum of 90cm wide / 120cm high and professionally printed. Posters should not be mounted on a rigid backing as they will be displayed on poster display boards (may be more than 1 poster per board).
  • It would be useful to have an explanatory leaflet / brochure at the venue.
  • The Programme Committee may at its discretion move an accepted submission into another presentation category to ensure the continuity of the congress programme.


Abstracts must be submitted under one of the congress themes. The only language of the congress is English and all abstracts must be submitted in that language.

Please adhere to the following formatting guidelines when preparing abstracts for submission for XII EuPA Congress. Abstracts non formatted to the following standards will not be accepted. You can download a tentative abstract template here.

The system will ask you to input de following details:

  • Title of the abstract (word limit is 15)
  • Presentation type (Oral, Oral or Poster, Poster only)
  • Name, affiliation and job title of the lead and corresponding author.
  • Name, affiliation, and job title of co-author(s)
  • Name of the presenting author (who must register as attendee)
  • Abstract word limit of 300 words; ensure that you use the following abstract heading: Background / Methods / Results / Conclusions / Keywords (maximum of 5 keywords).
  • If you would not like to be considered for a presentation award, please tick the box.


The presenting author must submit the abstract on his/her account. Once you enter the online submission portal, start by creating an account. Please keep a record of the account details you use to set up your user profile as you will require them to log into the submission and registration portals.

Once you have created your user account, you can submit your abstract following the given instructions. Following the review of all received works, you will be informed withing abstract notification period whether you contribution has been accepted or not.

Once an abstract has been accepted, the presenting author will be required to register by 15th April in order to secure a place in the programme. Failure to register will result in the abstract being removed from the programme.


  • Presenters may be recorded for live streaming. A recording of the presentation and a copy of the slides may be published online after the congress.
  • Submitted abstracts, may be published in print and online after the congress.
  • It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to communicate with results with other members of the presenting team.


There will be prizes for the best posters and oral communications. Further details will be announced closer to the event.
